Special congratulations to Tracey Adamson for winning Community Mediator of the Year and Nikki Edwards for taking home Mediation Advocate of the Year. These awards highlight their exceptional dedication and talent in the field of mediation.
It’s also remarkable that Calm Mediation was nominated in five categories, showcasing the breadth of talent within the organization. A well-deserved shoutout to Mel Bruce, Ursula Little, and the pupils from Exning Primary for their nominations in Significant Achievement, Family PPC, and Peer Mediation, respectively.
The event was truly inspiring, with powerful messages from the mediation field. Joanna Gosling, who presented the ceremony at the Houses of Parliament, spoke about the evolving mediation landscape, emphasizing the need for a strong grassroots movement and a greater cultural understanding of mediation in society. Kelly, Chair of the Civil Mediation Council, highlighted the importance of embedding mediation into everyday life and civil justice systems. Martin, Chair of the College of Mediators, discussed the sector’s goal of improving communication both within the field and with the public over the next two years. Rosemary Jackson KC, Chair of the Judges, celebrated the generosity of spirit shown by mediation services and the commitment of those offering Legal Aid despite significant challenges.
