Calm Mediation is proud to announce the first wave of panellists for Calm Connect 2025, our annual gathering dedicated to advancing dialogue, innovation, and action around restorative approaches. Our annual conference, taking place on 9th October at Regents’ University in central London will look at themes around Restorative Approaches. We’ll share how mediation and restorative justice can transform lives, strengthen communities, and build a fairer justice system.
This year’s theme, Restorative Approaches, reflects a growing movement to embed restorative justice at the heart of the criminal justice system, alongside conflict resolution throughout the civil justice system, all grounded in community cohesion, and conflict resolution. Our event will feature voices from across justice, education, community work, and lived experience — all committed to reshaping the future of our capital.

Panel: Restorative Results
A panel of Calm’s service users and community voices will share their lived experiences of restorative justice and mediation including Andrew Phillips, ASB specialist from Riverside Housing.

Exploring ‘the role of mediation and restorative practices within the civil & criminal justice systems, starting from a foundation in our communities’ with panellist’s including:

We will be looking ahead at how restorative approaches can transform education and communities and will include:

Victoria Harris: Deputy CEO of the Civil Mediation Council
With ages from 17 to 80-something, our Speakers and Panellists offer the broadest range of lived and decision-making experiences including a cohort of Calm’s Peer Mediators from Bacon’s College.
