About our Neighbour Mediation Service
We have several partnerships with Housing Associations and Councils and receive between 150 – 200 referrals a year and offer a high-quality mediation service for members of the community in conflict.
Our team trains and supports a fantastic team of 70+ volunteer Neighbour Mediators who facilitate communication between parties in dispute by bringing them together to discuss their issues with the goal of reaching an agreement on how to move forward in a positive way.
As an accredited training provider (accredited by Open College Network) many of our volunteers are trained in house. Other volunteers are accredited by CEDR (Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution) amongst other accredited training providers.
Noise complaints are the most common dispute factor we deal with, but we also deal with a wide range of other issues including Verbal Abuse/Altercations, Harassment, Parking, Boundaries, Bins, Pets, Smoking, Cooking smells, Gardens, Discrimination and much more.
Our interventions relieve strain on Housing organisations by preventing costly legal action, and freeing up the time of housing professionals who are often overwhelmed by repetitive ASB calls and complaints.
