International Restorative Justice Week 2021 commenced with the 3rd Restorative Justice Council Annual Conference delivered over 2 days. The theme of this year’s conference was Restorative Networks: bridging divides and strengthening communities. It was lovely to see so many of our Facilitators in attendance. Wearing her RJC Trustee hat, our very own Janet delivered a session on Secondary Trauma, a complex topic that we often discuss in our day to day work and plan to explore further at a future Group Supervision session.
Following the RJC conference, the RJ Team commenced their own RJ Week event, delivering Induction and Skills Practice Training. The 2-day training was for practitioners who had trained externally and want to work with Calm Mediation. The group were fantastic and gave us some great feedback on the sessions:
“It exceeded all expectations. The training was well organized and thought through with lots of learning opportunities.”
“It has sharpened my skills and knowledge. I have had a chance to play more roles with difference scenarios.”
“Excellent training overall. Fantastic trainers.”
“Very warm and supportive group which made learning a joy and laughed a lot.”
